Emberbound Poppy
Poppies have this quiet strength to them. They show up in the rough spots, add color where everything else feels dull, and kind of pull you into that softer, dreamier place we all forget to go. That’s what kept coming to mind while I was making this piece. The crimson glass has a warm, ember-like glow to it, grounding but still a little magical, like a reminder to slow down for a second and just breathe.
The copper wire and copper finish curve around the petals the way real poppies twist and wind, a little wild but still intentional. When you hold it up to the sun, the whole thing lights up with this deep, calm warmth. It gives you a moment of quiet without asking for anything in return.
Spiritually, poppies are tied to rest, dreamwork, remembrance, and resilience. This one carries that same energy, a gentle reminder that even in the harder seasons, something beautiful can still break through.
